The celebrations at “Julia Hasdeu Castle”

Each year, three celebrations dedicated to the members of Hasdeu family are organized here.

Around the date of February 28 (the scholar’s birthday), we organize the cultural and scientific event «B.P.Hasdeu, in memoriam».

Also, around November 14, at the castle takes place the event « Julia Hasdeu, in memoriam», dedicated to the poetess Julia Hasdeu.

July 2 is the day when B.P.Hasdeu used to symbolically celebrate his two Julias, his wife and his daughter. We continued this habit and each year we organize «The Celebration of the 2 Julias», an important cultural and scientific event, in which a very large public takes part.

These celebrations include discourses, launches of books and revues, exhibitions, musical, lyrical and dramatic performances etc.

Very important personalities held conferences in Câmpina: Gheorghe Mihaila, Grigore Brâncus, Vasile Sandu, I.Oprisan, Stancu Ilin, Crina Decusara-Bocsan etc.
